[SMCC] Fw: Graham has passed away

Dear friends,
Chao cac ban,

It's very sad to know that doctor Grahame Laycock has gone. . He graduated doctor of physical therapy. He was the first blind doctor in the world, who worked on physical theropy. I've known him since 2001 from his presentation in Saigon. He used to go around the world to share his phylosophy of life and his experiences on how to achieve your goals by his presentation. I really admired his speech on that day. After his presentation, i tried to meet him. when he knew that I was blind, we made friends to each other. After the first meeting, I guided him to some schools for the blind and associations for the blind in South Vietnam. He trained blind massues on those organizations. I helped interprete his lectures to the blind massage trainees. Last week, when I was in Ha Noi, I met Mr Le Danh Cat the president of Dong Nai association of the blind. Mr Cat asked me to do interpreting for Mr Laycock on Dec 7th and 8th... I was very happy because I would meet him again. But not, he has gone.

Hello Mr Phong,

I am sorry to have to bring you very sad news ...

Graham Laycock has passed away yesterday morning in Bangkok. He had just
finished his daily morning exercise in the gym and was going up to his room when he collapsed with a heart attack. The doctors tried to resuscitate him for 2 hours but he had already passed away before reaching the hospital. He was not alone because the Thailand Association for the Blind contact people
were with him in the hospital.

When the body gets flown back, there will be a funeral for him here in
Perth.

I want to let you know that Graham loved doing the work of teaching the
blind massage therapy. He did it all because he loved blind people and all of you, and wanted to show the love of Jesus to those who are blind and need
help.

The rest of the blind masseur trip has to be cancelled. I apologise for the
inconvenience.

Thank you for your understanding.

Warmest regards,

Cheryl
Secretary
