Dear All,

ONNET realizes the fact that scripting is one of the main concerns
among the blind computer users in the region.  Therefore, in the last
ONNET RAC meeting in Kuala Lumpur, the representatives unanimously
agreed to organize distant scripting course with the goal to create a
group of scripters for JAWS to tackle the issue of inaccessible
mainstream and proprietary applications.

As a result, We are delighted to announce that we have come up with a
solution to form a scripting group in the region. Through the group,
scripters can work together on writing scripts for inaccessible
applications to make them work better with Jaws. This program of ONNET
is targeting at the ONNET member-countries. To ensure we pick a right
group of scriptors, we would like to carry out preliminary assessment
through Blind-Asean list to identify and select the right persons to
join the group. After that, we will proceed with the online course and
workshop for the selected persons to acquire scripting knowledge and
skills.

For the assessment, we will start with the following topics on the
list:

1. What is Jaws scripting, what is it for and when we need scripting?
2. What are the applications and specific features of the application
that you think needed to script for?
