dns settings of my  ppc or of my router?

cat /etc/resolv.conf  gives
10.1.1.1 that is my router.

i have other 2 pc in my lan one with slackware 10.2 (kernel 2.4.xx) and
another with slackware 11 (kernel 2.4.33.3) and both work with dhcp.
