after compiling JACK for 12.0
did this kind of conversation at Jackit-devel-ml
am about to edit the /etc/fstab and re-compile
but wondering if my /dev/shm is a tmpfs
and then the Filetype is tmpfs
and the mount point should become somewhere different?
---8<---
did the jackd --version for all distros and got
slackintosh12.0:
jackd version 0.103.0 tmpdir /tmp protocol 16
for
none 329M 0 329M 0% /tmp
maybe this is what you wanted, but I just noticed your slackintosh
compile is not using a tmpfs.
oh i just put that line in /etc/fstab manually
cuz i saw that in readme
none is making something wrong? just wasting swap in vain?
maybe i shoud repalce it with "tmpfs" and recompile jack?
Make sure that /dev/shm is a tmpfs and recompile JACK to
use that. It will become the new default now that most
distributions support it.
