Hey I have been trying to install Slackintosh on a G4 powerbook and
have been having some minor (well i hope minor) problems. My x86
laptop is running Slackware and I use Slax to fix desktops from time to
time. It is a G4 600mz 640mb or ram powerbook from 2000. I am using the Slackintosh DVD installer disk. I have 9 partitions on the drive (hda1 is the partition map, 2-8 is flag as drivers and mac-fdisk will not let me delete and hda9 is type Linux at 37.3G). I install all packages (except the language set). Once it is all said and done the computer will not boot. I do get an error well trying to set up the boot loader (both Lilo and Yaboot are mentioned at different points???). I turn all three boot options Openfireware, Network and CD boot, but would not be worried with out them. Once i hit install i get the black area at the bottom and it reads: Starting Yaboot installation on ..Any one have any ideas? Thanx ~Luke~ |
