just call them this way:

ARCH="powerpc" ./something.SlackBuild

you'll build the "something" program setting the "powerpc" arch in the
tgz name. if you want to set optimization flags or the slackbuild is
doing something different in the ARCH selection, you have also to modify
the if statement at the beginning of the script. but this is usually not
needed.
