Hi folks,
Just a quick note that my airport extreme (model 4318, even) is working
(right now, anyway) on my fairly recent iBook. I have the latest
bcm43xx-fwcutter (v. 001) with the wl_apsta.o firmware, the softmac-snapshot
source, and the 20060125 source tree of the bcm43xx driver. I can only
communicate well at 1Mbps, but it's better than 0Mbps! A resume.d
script in /etc/power/ is needed to restart the radio and renegotiate the
wireless connection, but otherwise it seems to work quite well.
