[slackintosh-users] Re: Radeon 9600 and xorg.conf

Problem solved. Although this computer is probably (also) flagging,
everything pretty much seems to work now, including the video under X.

I needed to install the xf86-video-fbdev from freedesktop.org, and
include

append="video=radeonfb:off radeon.modeset=1"

in /etc/yaboot.conf

Does anybody here know why the xf86-video-fbdev driver is not in
-current?

Cheers,
-derek
