I'm running it on a PowerMac G3 266MHz, which is OldWorld. I have a
small OS9 partition to boot from, which runs BootX
(http://penguinppc.org/bootloaders/bootx/) on startup to restart into
Linux. If your machine has OpenFirmware, you may be able to hack it to
run an alternative bootloader. Check the NetBSD docs for this:
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/

When I installed it, I had to use a different kernel than the one
supplied by Slackintosh (I used the one from Gentoo 2005.0, but I have
since tried - and would recommend - the current stable 2.6 from
http://www.ppckernel.org/). You also have to boot with kernel arguments
'root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk_size=10240 rw', and you need to
specify the installer initrd off the installation CD as your init ramdisk.

See this for reference:

Thanks Adrian. =)
