AFAIK there are 3 different revisions:
A : Original
B : Serial Port 2 removed (never used)
C : Serial Port 2 removed + Digital AV removed
And as usual nintendo divided the world into three regions:
Europa / Japan / USA.
If you only want to run Linux, it doesn't matter what revision you buy.
