[slackintosh-users] CD Disc 3 rejected, Re: Has 12.1 setup been fully tested from CDs?

CD number 3 is being rejected by the setup program now, on my iBook
G3. This disc's md5 matches the one in MD5SUM.TXT, and readcd reports
zero c2 errors.
After inserting disc 3, I choose "Continue Install packages from the
next disk" in the INSERT NEXT DISC dialog, but the disc gets ejected,
and cycle repeats.
Four lines get appended to /var/log/messages each time, with the third
line identical to the second line. The lines are:

Microsoft Joliet Level 3
[date and time] (none) user.warn.kernel: Unable to load MLS charset
UTF-8
[date and time] (none) user.warn.kernel: Unable to load MLS charset

Any suggestions about what the problem might be, and how to resolve or
work around it?
