[SKYWARN RI] Storm Message(1)

Hello all...

Below is the outlook from the National Weather Service on the up coming 
threat of rain.  As of now, it looks as though SKYWARN will not be activated 
for RI.  I will keep everyone posted.

A FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT...WESTERN AND 
NORTH CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS AND SOUTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIREFOR TONIGHT AND 
FRIDAY.  THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR MINOR FLOODINGIN THE WATCH AREA 


RAIN...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS AND BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT 
AS A WARM FRONT APPROACHES.  RAINFALL AROUND ONE INCH IS LIKELY...WITH AS 
MUCH AS 2 INCHES IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA.  SNOW MELT WILL BE MARGINAL DUE TO 
TEMPERATURES REMAINING ATOR BELOW 40 DEGREES FOR MUCH OF THE NIGHT ACROSS THE 
INTERIOR WHERESNOW DEPTHS OF OVER 10 INCHES EXIST.  PONDING OF WATER IN 
POORDRAINAGE AREAS AND SOME LOCALIZED STREET FLOODING IS POSSIBLE WHEREHEAVY 
DOWNPOURS OCCUR OR WHERE PACKED SNOW AND ICE ACROSS THEINTERIOR HAVE BLOCKED 
STORM DRAINS.
