Hello all...
....Possible Severe Thunderstorms this afternoon...
Strong instability is expected to develop today along and ahead of a cold
front moving into New England, which will fuel the development of isolated
to severe thunderstorms. Lifted indices are forecasted to reach the -4 to -9
range from Maine to Rhode Island by late this afternoon. Although shear is not
forecasted to be very strong in the area, good lifting and very good
shortwave energy should be able to compensate to produce a few intense cells
afternoon and evening.

SKYWARN activation with OPS at NWS possible anytime after 2pm. Please
monitor 146.760, and be prepaired to relay Severe Weather Criteria to the NWS.

SPC may issue a Severe Thunderstorm Watch later this evening. So please keep
an eye to the sky, and stay tuned to 146.760.
