[sjbiofuels] Fwd: Highschool

Hello All,

I spoke to Nick Frazee over the phone, after corresponding with him by
e-mail. He is ready to brew biofuel, and they are doing their first
test batch on Monday.

However, we need not worry about the volume of fuel they will produce.
It is primarily for educational purposes. They have built an
appleseed processor that can do 30 gallon batches. And in the best of
circumstances, they could produce one batch in a week. So 120
gal/month is their absolute maximum.

He definitely would like to work together with us, it seems that we
have been following a lot of the same trails... whole-energy, the fire
marshal etc.

Would anyone like to see their first test batch? Andrew Bauer will be
there, and I will try to go, though I will be coming late. they will
start around 1PM. See the message below for details.

Gary, if you want to offer your expertise, they found the initial
filtration of the oil to be quite messy and challenging.

Another piece of information... Nick is spending the summer in
Seattle, so their operation will go offline in a week, until the
school year starts in September.

Let me know what you all think!

Peace,
Grisha

We are right behind the CTE (woodshop) building, down the hill from
the tennis courts. Its somewhat outside. You could come in on Monday
at 1pm if you want to observe our first test batch. Your insights
would be helpful.

Thanks,

Nick Frazee

Nick,

You're a lot farther along than I imagined... this sounds really
good. Where is your process housed? At the High School?

With Kindness,
Grisha
