Hello I just want to tell bout the results of my magnetic layout experiences. It's a score for piano rather crowded, many chords and often two voices per staff. At some places the left hand sometimes has to cross over the right. There are many long and short slurs. Most of times the long slurs are for the first voice of the right-hand staff and the short slurs for the second voice of the same staff. There are also irregular rhythms like triols and ohter irregular things. various dynamics words. End of description. Slurs going over system breaks often cut the stem of the last note of the line and also cut the stem of the first note of the next line. Magnetic layout should have moved these slurs upwards. Slurs at places with irregular thythms cross under the irregular rhythm marking; better would be to cross above them. The spacing between staves and system could be improved; it is most of times still too little. The score would be better be laid out on three full pages; actually it fills two pages and a thirt of a page. Another slur problem occurs, where the left hand crosses over the right. These slurs also should be moved upwards. In general the slurs below are handled better than the slurs above. It may be, that things could be improved by making settings in the magnetic layout options, but first I have to read about it and experiment further more with a sighted assistant.
