Note that the rit from the Lines dialog affects playback, while writing the
word in the tempo field does not. If you choose to use the line, note that
Sibelius does not honor the "a tempo" text in playback. You will have to
restate your metronome mark and hide it, via ctrl+shift+h.

guys,
I'm writing a piano piece with a ritard that eventually has an a tempo.
Does anyone know if that's considered a technique or an expression?  I
didn't notice it in any of the word menus for either techniques or
expressions.  thanks for any help.
