This is a bit of a sticky issue. I'm looking at this over the next week because it touches on laptop support in general. The result I want is to properly support Sibelius' own laptop layout but there are big differences between the way that JAWS deals with the number pad keys and the main keyboard and this is going to cause an issue. The answer to your question is that I hope you will be able to use the proper laptop layout in the next release and not put up with the half hearted approach of plugging a keypad in. For the record, Logitek do a very small full keyboard which is cheep and easily small enough to fit in a laptop bag. It's called the "ultra flat" and is probably the best solution to using Sibelius on a laptop. I say for two reasons: 1. external keypads can cause unknown problems whereas a full keyboard does not. 2. It is easier to use Sibelius with a full keyboard because the laptop layout is rather awkward. Can I also change something in the Sibelius.jkm, that I also get feedback when I press this key combination? Of course I get feedback by arrowing, but is it possible getting feedback when pressing shift-enter? This doesn't come as a surprise to me. I'll be working on a laptop layout for the next release, which should hopefully fix this for you perminantly. In the mean time, your best bet is to create a new keystroke in the preferences dialog. I'd suggest using SHIFT+ENTER since this is not used by Sibelius or JAWS. Do the following: Press CONTROL+COMMA to open the preferences dialog. Pres SHIFT+TAB once. You should be in a list box called "showing page" Select the item "Menus and Shortcuts". Press TAB once. You should be in a combo box and the selected item should be "Access (user copy). If it isn't, select that item. Press TAB again. You should be in a list box called "menu or category". Select the item "Keypad (all)" Press TAB again. You should be in a list box called "Feature". Select the item "Enter on keypad". TAB to the "Add" button and press space. Another dialog opens called "add keystroke". Press SHIFT+ENTER on the main keyboard. Tab to the OK button and press SPACE. The add keystroke dialog closes and you'll be returned to the preferences dialog. Tab to the OK button and press it.
