Hi Daniel,

This list of missing fonts is pretty long, and includes some of the
important ones. Has this problem always occurred or did it just start
recently?

Also, was Sibelius installed from an admin account or a user account. I
don't know if this would make a difference, but Sibelius puts all its fonts
into the standard Windows\Fonts folder, and you often need to be logged in
as an administrator to modify these folders.

As George says, the best thing to do is reinstall Sibelius (from an admin
account) and take note of any messages that appear.

If the problem persists, contact Sibelius tech support directly, since this
is definitely a Sibelius issue.

Hope this helps,

Dan Rugman

Hi Daniel,

It sounds like your user's system has somehow prevented the installation of
these missing "fonts". They would normally be installed by Sibelius. It
might be an idea to for you to try re-installing Sibelius, but keeping a
very careful watch to see if any messages come up.

Want version of Windows are you running?

All the best,

George.

Subject: [sib-access] Question regarding error message

Hi list,

First of all, I need to say that I'm an AT instructor so I'm writing this on
behalf of one of my users who doesn't feel comfortable writing in English.
So I myself am just helping him with the assistive technology in and I
therefore don't claim any particular knowledge about Sibelius.

When he opens Sibelius 5.25, he gets the following error message:

There are fonds missing. Sibilius 5 will still work with out these fonds,
but some scores may not diss play probberly.

the missing fonds are:

oposs text, oposs special, oposs roman chords

oposs plain chords, oposs chords, oposs chords sans, oposs chords condensed,
oposs percussion, oposs figur bass extras, oposs figur bass, I cant hear if
it says bass or bace

Hope someone on this list can figure out what might be going wrong here.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards

Daniel
