Dave,

Arrows alone move the item by 1/32 of a line space . Holding control at the
same time moves them by a whole line space.

The line space is the distance between two vertically adjacent lines on a
standard staff. This distance is used as the base unit of measurement in
virtually all the type setting options.

keystrokes for moving  a selected item a small amount vs. a large amount?
