I don't think you can. The fact that the paste-into is a grand staff might
cause problems in itself. How about just selecting one staff at a time and
pasting to the relevant grand staff location?

I have a violin 1 and a cello part that I want to copy and make into a
keyboard treble and bass clef staff respectively. How do I select music
located on discontiguous staves and paste them into two contiguous ones?
