Dan,

Thanks. Another Chapter in my collection of Dan-dy Tips and Trick for
Sibelius.

In about 6 more months you'll probably have a complete book in the
collection.

Dave

Dave,

Your approach should work.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F to open the advanced filter.
Make sure that the whole score radio button is selected.
Make sure that Text is checked.
Make sure that Notes, Rests and Lines are not checked.
In the style list choose technique. (MIDI messages are usually added in this
style, except for BPM messages which are in the metronome text style, I
think.)
In the text containing box type in "~C".
Press the filter button.

The dialog closes and you should have selected all the text containing
control change data.

FYI, MIDI CC messages are constructed in the form "~CX,Y". Where:
"~C" identifies that the message is a control change.
X is the controller number.
Y is the value.

So, a sustain pedal down message would be "~C64,127" and the pedal up would
be "~C64,0".
High volume and low volume would be "~C7,127" and "~C7,127".

Also note that any text following a "~" is hidden in the score and will not
be printed.

Hope this helps,

Ouch! What a pain. It'd be nice if there were a more automated method.

Actually, I just deleted them all one at a time.

Kevin,

I presume that you've tried the advanced filter for text items with ~C in
them?

Guys,
Somehow, I have a ton of CC 11 messages that were imported into a score
from Sonar. Reimporting isn't an option. I've done too much editing. I
don't want to just hide it. There's too much of it. How do i delete the CC
information. It's making a mess of my score. Kevin If you wish to
