All sufexes like ing or er are considdered syllables. So, you would write
them as cross-ing.

You press the space bar twice and this draws a long line that shows the
reader that the previous syllable extends to the next note. JaWS will tell
you where you are in bars and beats. So, when JAWS tells you that you've
come to bar 3, beat 1, you know it's time for the syllable, wid as in wider.

Hi, it's Annabelle.
I'm making a lead sheet of "Moon River", and I want to include lyrics.
However, the confusion sets in when I get to, for example "Moon ri-ver".
Since the "ver" syllable is supposed to be sung on a note which ties to
another note, how would I achieve this?
