[sib-access] Ctrl+Alt+Y and Ctrl+Alt+P

Dan,

Do you mean Ctrl+Alt+Y and Ctrl+Alt+P?

The issue is most likely with the JAWS Key Map file. This is why it's so
important to make sure that there is only one Sibelius5.JKM file on you
machine.

Correct. Even though I had only one Sibelius5.jkm file, I recall having to
modify it, or the preference s in Sibelius (or both) so that the keystroke
worked correctly. It seems that the hotkey in the Windows menu of
Sibelius 5 was not the same as that given in the JAWS .jkm file, if I'm
remembering correctly.

Dave

It's not relevant to the problem that Vytautas is having. His problem is
that JAWS cannot find the mixer window at all. I didn't think that this was
actually possible because the mixer window is created when Sibelius starts
and it always has a unique window class. I'm looking at the code now to try
and figure out what's going on.

Also check the windows menu to make sure it's not checked there.

Dan, not sure if this is at all related. But with reference the playback
being Ctrl+Shift+Y, I had to play with my Ctrl+Shift+P key mapping at one
point because I noticed that in the preferences it did not match the window
menu hotkey.

Is this germane?

Dave

Vytautas ,

Have you tried restarting your machine since this new behaviour began?

The only other time I know of this happening was when the user didn't have
enough memory to meet Sibelius' requirements. How much RAM do you have?

Hi All,

It has recently occurred that I get this message that I've written as the
subject line everytime I touch my keyboard in a Sibelius score. I tried
opening and closing the mixer window, and it says it can't be opened. What
else can I do?

Thank you.

Cheers

Vytautas
