I press control+f while still in the keyboard manager? It has no effect
there. I am in the primary list view after I hit the last OK.

Cheers

If that's the only one then at least you know the hot Key detective
application is working. So that means you don't have a hotkey linked to your

desktop with Ctrl+F1 as the key.

How about looking at your JAWS keyboard manager?

To search all possible key combinations, you need to open the options menu
in the keyboard manager and select key filter. Then find a radio button Key
Assignments All. then select okay.

Then open the options menu again and select file filter and select show
shared file and again press okay.
That will ensure that you are searching through all key combinations in all
scripts.

Then Ctrl+f and press the key Ctrl+f1 and tab to okay. If that key
combination is anywhere in a JAWS script, it should show up.

Good luck.

Dave

I downloaded "hotkey search detective 1.0", gave it a try, and the only
hotkey it found is the one I created to turn on JAWS. Am I missing
anything?

I found it on the jfwlite programs page.

I don't seem to find a free copy. Could you please send me the link?

Get a copy of hot key detective. It's free, and will list all your desktop
hotkeys and allow you to find the application they're linked to.

Thanks,

That's obvious, however how to find this software that makes the mess?

Vytautas,

It sounds like someone's set up a windows shortcut of Ctrl+F1 to a control
panel applet (or whatever the screen management software is). These kind of
shortcuts can override JAWS keystrokes so it's best to try and identify what
the software is that's opening and change its shortcut.

Once you know what the software is, select the start menu or control panel
option that launches it, press ApplicationsKey, choose properties from the
popup menu, and then use the dialog that opens to remove the keystroke.

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a new laptop for Sibelius and Sibelius access. In case
of Control plus F1 it opens a screen management menu. What would be a way
to change it?
