For those who do not have access to Howard's book, a similar explanation
of the relationship between bandwidth and risetime is given in one of=20
our application notes, AN-7A, "Low-Pass Risetime Filters for Time Domain
Applications." The explanation is in the first section on time domain
and Gaussian signals. =20

The equation is BW =3D 0.35/risetime. See Howard Johnson and Martin =
Graham's
"High Speed Digital Design, A Handbook of Black Magic" Appendix B for
details.

Hi Meng,
I have read some papers that use 'risetime/0.35' for the upper bound
frequency. However I'm not sure where this thing comes from. Perhaps
others can comment on this too. The lower bound basically is from DC.

Chuan
