I agree.  The neutral is connected to ground for safety in terrestrial
applications and is the common aboard ships.

Whew!!  been a  long time since I had to think about 3 phase....

In a 4 wire system current does not flow through the neutral.  The sum of
the 3 currents in each line will add up to 0.  In fact, you can remove the
forth line from the system.
