We have used Hspice's optimization routines to tune
various parameters against specific point metrics. For
example, we have used optimization to adjust a
resistor value to tune for a specific attenuation
at a specific frequency point.
For a present effort, we're trying to optimize a
handful of parameters to match S21 across a
range of frequencies. That is, not just one frequency
point but across several points along a curve. Optimally,
the tool would use least-squares fitting of the two
curves.
We have not been able to find good documentation or
examples of optimizing against curve fits. Does anyone
have a simple example we could use?
Thanks,
