IPC-2221 which supercedes IPC-D-275 defines
current handling capacity in a trace of a
given cross sectional are for a given
temperature rise. Here is a link that
will provide you with alot of useful information
on this.

Enjoy and happy ampacitying....

Subject: [SI-LIST] max current value on a PCB trace
Hi all.
Is it possible to know the max value of the current which a PCB trace
with a
defined cross section can tolerate?
Regards
Vittorio
