Perry,
the most likely cause of your "noise" is an inadvertent sneak path to
node 0 on the
daughter card side of the connector. This can sometimes be burried deep
within
a vendors spice model. I suggest that you systematically remove all
elements on
the daughter card side of the connector, and gradually add each one
until the
culprit is found.
