Hello,
There are two approaches in doing transient simulation with S parameters:
(a) enter them directly into a simulator (such as ADS) that takes S
parameters, (b) convert them into equivalent circuit models and run them in
those simulators (such as the current version of HSPICE) that don't take S
parameters directly. I want to add Optimal Corp.'s WideBand Spice to your
list. Besides extracting RLGC and creating W-element models, it addresses
the above two approaches by outputing passivity-corrected Touchstone files
and other circuit models to make sure ADS and HSPICE's transient simulation
will converge.
