my mistake of course. it should be done in another file, and than be
included in the netlist using the .VEC command.

i tried doing it that way:

but i got an error, it seems like the hspice does not know the period
command (look at the lis file pulse.lis).
than i tried without the period command:

is there a way to define in hspice how a pulse looks (e.g. pulse width,
voltage levels) and then just define a vector of zeros and ones e.g.
