You need a script to automate the generation of your spice code from a
simple 10101 file. I think that this has been covered in previous strings.
Does anyone know the URL?

Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: digital vector
hi scott,
sorry for replying only now.
i've read a little about E element, and i am a little confused because =
the syntex shloud be:
E xxx n+ n- <VCVS> in+ in- gain <MAX=3D val> <MIN=3D val>
+ <SCALE=3D val> <TC1=3D val> <TC2=3D val><ABS=3D1> <IC=3D val>
and you called the nodes n+ and in+ by the name vector. does it =
specifies more than one node? anyway i don't think that an E element is =
a good solution for what i am trying to do.
to make a long story short:
i have already 2 Hspice models of buffers. the input nodes of those =
buffers are called drv1in, drv1gnd and drv2in, drv2gnd.
in the input of one buffer i want to toggle buffer one with the vector =
010100110, and the second one with 010110111 both with a voltage between =
0 and 1.6V. is there a simple way to do it than:
vdrv1in drv1in drv1gnd PWL (0 0, 1.9n 0, 2.1n 1.6, 3.9n 1.6, =
4.1n 0, 5.9n 0, 6.1n 1.6, 7.9n 1.6, 8.1n 0, 11.9n 0, 12.1n 1.6, 15.9n =
1.6, 16.1n 0, 18n 0 R TD=3D1.8n)
vdrv2in drv2in drv2gnd PWL ...
note that this simulation is for 2 buffers, but i might want to do it =
with 30 buffers, which can complicate things

Yoni,
Yes, just as Andy says, you can use a VCVS configured as a unity gain=20
amplifier to re-reference to the local ground, in the same way that you=20
would use one to re-reference a received signal to it's local ground.
Exxxx vector 0 VCVS vector_out local_ground 1

scott
