Do you have any Mfr part no. of these type of connector where I can look into?
I believe 2 pins will be long and 2 pins will be short in a 4pin connector of
this type. So I will need to get mating jack also for this.
Please let me know the manufacturer and part nos. info if you have it.

The one's I've worked with had the extra advantage of having over-current
protection.
The other thing to consider is a connector with a long pin. Use it to charge
up the input caps through a resistor while a pull up/down connected to a
normal length pin holds the load or regulator chip disabled until the
connector moves in a bit farther. (I think SCSI does that for hot swap.
Maybe I've got things backwards and it uses a short pin.)
