[SI-LIST] Re: Using Spice models in Spectraquest

Sreejith-

SQ does not have a built-in transistor model. Some alternatives are calling
HSPICE from SQ (if you have HSPICE model parameters), or coding an SPICE
transistor model in the SQ behavioral SPICE.

The bigger issue is selecting the "right" model equations. (Different
implementations of BSIM3 use slightly different equations and different
model parameter names, not to mention different model parameter values!) If
one is using a commercial SPICE, the equations are normally "hidden" in the
SPICE code. While SPICE 3f5 is open source (published model equations),
fabs such as TSMC do not normally make models for it.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Using Spice models in Spectraquest

Hello Cadence users,

I havent done much digging into this yet. Thought i will get
inputs from experienced hands first.

Does anyone have pointers on how to use Spice models / Xtor
models from TSMC in Spectraquest?

Thanks in advance
Sreejith
