[SI-LIST] Re: USB drive Current Consumption

This data is usually given in the device descriptor. The current varies
from device to device. But I have come across drives of 85mA and 100mA.
However some devices have more than 100mA.

The device descriptor of one such device is in the below link.
http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdescr.php?id=4225

The above device says the current consumption is 200mA.

Khaleel

Subject: [SI-LIST] USB drive Current Consumption

Dear All,

What is the worst case current consumption of a USB pen drive from 5V
USB bus across various memory capacities?

Most of the links over th web says its 500mA max.

Please throw in your thoughts.

Cheers
Vivek
