Physical Design Architect

Job Description:
A full time position in Sunnyvale CA. As the successful candidate, your =
responsibilities as a Physical Design Architect include a multitude of =
diverse tasks related to design of high performance PCI Express switches =
and bridges as well as other chip products.=20

You should be proficient at conceptual chip floor planning, I/O =
planning, pad (or bump) definitions and sequencing, conceptual package =
design for high speed interfaces, technical interface with package =
engineering, package netlist generation, technical liaison, package =
design review and verification.

You will interface with other groups within the company, including front =
end design engineering, physical design engineering, product engineering =
and production test. =20

Job Requirements:

BSEE/MSEE with 10 years of hands on Physical Design Engineering =
experience including demonstrated tape-outs in 0.13 =B5m technology or =
below.
Hands on experience with all aspects of Physical Design in a COT =
back-end flow.
Proficiency with Perl, SPICE, Micorsoft Excel.
Understanding of high speed signal integrity issues at the chip, package =
and PC board level.
Understanding of timing reports from STA tools.
Understanding of logic design and Verilog coding and analysis.
Understanding of CMOS circuit design and analysis.
Good English language oral and written communications skills.
Leader, self starter, capable of working independently.

Staff Physical Design Engineer (back-end COT flow)

Job Description:
A full time position in Sunnyvale CA. As the successful candidate, your =
responsibilities as a Physical Design Engineer include all aspects of =
the back end flow: floor planning, power grid, power =
analysis/optimization, place and route, clock tree, extraction, back =
annotation, signal integrity based timing analysis/closure, LVS, DRC, as =
well as participation in definition and implementation of the flow. DFT =
experience is an advantage. You will interface with other groups within =
the company, primarily front end design engineering. You will also =
interface with tool and IP vendors for day to day usage issues and for =
evaluation of new products.

Job Requirements:

BSEE/MSEE with 8 years of COT back-end experience including tape-out in =
0.13 =B5m technology or below.
Experience with all aspects of COT back-end flow.
Hands on experience with Magma, Synopsys and/or Cadence back end tools.
Proficiency in script writing: Perl, tcl, make, Linux/Unix shell script.
Proficiency in analyzing reports from back end tools.
Understanding of logic design and Verilog coding and analysis.
Some understanding of CMOS circuit design and analysis.
Good English language oral and written communications skills.
Self starter, capable of working independently.
