Robert,
I have been using Micro-Cap for several years and find it capable and
especially, easy to use. For example, it took me a couple of days to
get my first optimization going in Hspice and about 20 minutes in
Micro-Cap. They have a decent library and such niceties as allowing
subcircuits that are s2p files that you might get from a VNA
measurement.
The price was $4k about 3 years ago, haven't checked lately. The
company is Spectrum-soft.com.
