[SI-LIST] Re: S-parameter to SPICE

Ali,

Brian Young's book "Digital Signal Integrity" has some prose on how to do
this. I believe that Mr. Bogatin has some info as well at the gigtest
website ~~~> http://www.gigatest.com/ . There is also some information on
the Agilent website that discusses how to do this. In all cases you have to
"pick" some components as a first guess and then tune based on bandwidth
your trying to accomplish etc, etc, etc...

Subject: [SI-LIST] S-parameter to SPICE

Hi All,

Given Magnitude of S11 as a function of frequency, Magnitude of S21 as a
function of
frequency, and the electrical length of a passive device (e.g. coaxial
connector,
capacitor, inductor, etc.), does anybody know how one can create a SPICE
equivalent
circuit of the device that is accurate in a frequency band of interest?

Thanks.

Hassan.
