[SI-LIST] Re: S-parameter modeling

We are using the software tools Oculus and Matrix Cascade to extract
multiport differential S-parameter models from an Agilent 86100 TDR/TDT
differential digital reflectometer via a National Instruments GPIB
interface. =

This tool will also import 4 port s-parameter models in Agilent Touchsto=
ne
format from either the Agilent ADS design environment or from an Agilent
Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).

The Matrix Cascade software will combine a number of s-parameter files an=
d
combine them to create a composite s-parameter file. The methodology was=

validated in a presentation prepared jointly by atSpeed Technologies and
Agilent Technologies at DesignCon 2001 in Santa Clara, CA.

ERNI Components, Inc. is one of the first companies to offer both SPICE a=

S-parameter models of their high speed differential connector the ERmetZD=

(see www.erni.com and www.teamZD.com)

>Hi List,

Keep in mind that I've not used this tool enough to verify it's
accuracy, so this is not an endorsement. For the price, it's worth a
look as a linear simulator. =
