Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: Solder migration during RFIC testing
Hi, Arvin.
I prefer to use IC holder for early characterization which is able to
contact with PCB pattern directly.
The IC holder is very helpful to evaluate small number of sample in bench
test.
This is consist of just one long female screw to press down chip on PCB
pattern and,
one square cover having four thru holes and one
screwed hole and,
four legs to keep tight the cover on the PCB and,
four holes on the PCB (you can use the thru holes
of socket in many cases)
This can guarantee less inductive component. So the repeatability and
reliability of measurement would be increased.
But as you can understand,it is not good to be used for testing in large
number of samples.
Bye.
Jong-Kyu Park
