Hi Dudi,

Glad you enjoyed it. I'll post more when I find them.

I don't claim these are Shive's league by any means, but here is some shameless
self-promotion of my blog postings that aim to record some "A ha!" moment or
another:

Subject: [SI-LIST] Shive wave machine video

Hi si-listers,

My friend Dick Benson shared this gem with me so I'd thought I'd pay it
forward. In this 1959 educational film, Dr. John N. Shive of Bell Labs uses the
Shive wave machine (a mechanical analog of wave propagation e.g. electrical
waves on a transmission line) to visualize:

* Positive and negative reflection of waves from free and clamped ends
* Superposition
* Standing waves, standing wave ratio, and resonance
* Energy loss by impedance mismatching
* Reduction of energy loss by quarter-wave and tapered-section transformers

It's a little longer (26 minutes) than most video clips but it's worth watching
the whole thing because he packs so much in it.

Here's the long link:

..and a shortened one just in case:

Enjoy!
