[SI-LIST] Senior SI System Engineer position at Samtec

Greetings to all SI-listers!
 

Samtec is searching for a senior level Signal Integrity engineer with 7+
years of system design experience.

 

We strive to be the interconnect industry leader in customer support,
and this engineer will have a significant role in developing new ways of
helping our customers utilize our products in high-speed designs.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in high-speed digital system
design, with demonstrated successful designs operating at multi-Gb/sec
levels.  Experience must include PCB design for optimal SI, EMI, and
Power Integrity performance.  A BSEE degree is required as a minimum.

 

Experience in using multiple circuit analysis tools such as HPSICE,
Hyperlynx, Specctraquest, etc, for transceiver-to-transceiver simulation
is required.  PI simulation and analysis experience is highly desired.
Familiarity with creating circuit models in various formats
(s-parameter, IBIS, RLGC, etc) from measurements and simulation is
required. Hands-on SI test lab experience is highly desirable.

 

Because of significant customer interaction, excellent communication and
interpersonal skills are a must.  A proven track record of authoring
technical articles, white papers, tutorials, and public presentations is
desired.   This engineer must interact effectively with associates in
other disciplines and with customers with a wide range of technical
competence.  Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work with
minimal guidance is a plus. Some travel, including international, will
be required.

 

Ideally, this SI engineer will be located at our Design Center in
Mechanicsburg, PA, or at our corporate headquarters in New Albany, IN.
Work from other sites will be considered, but additional travel to
Samtec locations of about one week per month would be required.
