Hello SI guys,

I am following all those questions and answers
about SI for a year plus and I saw a lot of
questions regarding SI tools.
We are looking into buying a new CAD tool for our
hole corporation, which has locations worldwide.
So far, Mentor came in with the best offer, but I
never saw any Q&A here on the list about the
Mentor SI tool (Tau, IS-Analyzer,
IS-Floorplanner). All those tools are claiming to
be SI tools for board level timing verification,
signal integrity, delay and crosstalk analysis,
timing analysis, signal quality etc.

I would like to get some opinions, critics, pros
and cons about the Mentor SI tools versa the
Cadence tools or Hyperlynx (which was PADS and now
is also Mentor).
Any experience and guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Ingo
