[SI-LIST] Quick analysis of a branched nets

Hi All,

For a simple unterminated trace with a single driver and receiver, it's
my understanding that ringing and overshoot become significant when the
trace's propagation delay is about 30% of the driver rise time.

My question is, if I have a net with several branches and receivers, and
I only know the cumulative length of the net, is it valid to use this
length to calculate a worst case propagation delay for identification of
nets that may cause problems and require additional inspection?

In other words, do the branches/multiple loads on a net contribute to
other phenomena which would invalidate a simple rise time vs. cumulative
net length comparison?

Thanks for the help,

Brian
