I have the electronic circuit analysis program Pspice V6.0 that I am trying
to run on my Compaq Presario V2000 laptop that runs on WinXP. The analysis
engine of Pspice V6.0 appears to be DOS based and needs a security dongle
attached to the RS-232 port. The laptop, that does not have a built in serial
port (RS-232), uses a Radio Shack #26-183 USB to RS-232 adapter. Pspice can
not find itâ??s valid security dongle that is attached to the RS-232 adapter,
which keeps the program from running. I am using two DOS augmentation
programs,
TameDos V5.0 and Direct I/O V4.4. Any suggestions on how to help Pspice
V6.0 find itâ??s valid, registered security dongle would be appreciated.
