[SI-LIST] Re: Pros/Cons of Agilent vs Tek scope for DDR2/3 characterization

Eugene -

You may also wish to consider ASA's M1 Oscilloscope Tools. M1 runs on
Agilent, Tek, LeCroy, and Yokogawa scopes and includes all available
compliance tests at no additional charge (including DDR2 & DDR3). M1 also
includes a number of automation and other features specifically designed to
assist with characterization work.

This combination of features allows you to take the quality of the scope
manufacturer's compliance test out of the equation of deciding which scope
to purchase. It also opens up the used/refurbished market (with it's
considerable cost savings), because M1 will allow you to run your tests on
*any* compatible scope, regardless of it's age, while the manufacturer's
software packages will usually only run on their newest models because those
packages exist solely to help them sell you a really expensive new scope.
It's just not worth the time for a ScopeCo salesperson with a multi-million
dollar sales quota to sell you a $3-5,000 software package for a scope you
already own.

I'd invite you to check out all of M1's features and benefits at our
website: www.m1ot.com

Tom Zych
