I use those also but the 1 Ghz Tek probes I use have a short slip on type
ground lead (male for the probe side, female for the board). I suppose I could
make a 1" or so long lead with an alligator clip. I find that the logic
analyzer style clips pop off too easily.
Obviously I'm assuming the ground loop is very close to the signal of
interest.
What do you use to attach the ground of the scope to the loop?

We use surface mount loops. I can provide a pdf picture if anyone wants
one. I'd post it with my reply, but I understand attachments don't get
forwarded.

speed scope grounds. I've used the loop style where you use a clip adapter
but the clip often slips off and of course it increases the size of your
ground loop. Through hole is not desireable from a layout and manufacturing
standpoint even though it would be used for proto only.

one. Anyone ever seen something like this or used something similar. I
would think they might be problematic from a automated assy standpoint but
that is not a requirement.
