[SI-LIST] Re: OOP problem, changing Reply-To header

Just to enter the fray here with yet another suggestion: The way Outlook (and
probably many others) work is, I can set the "out of office assistant" to
"reply only once to each sender" with the out-of-office message. So if I get
messages from "SI-LIST," only in the first instance will it fill up all your
mailboxes with the dreaded "Out of office reply." The rest get filtered out.
But if you send it from your email address and domain, then unfortunately
you'll get the out-of-office reply. So, to avoid the dreaded message, send
message ONLY to SI-LIST , and let SI-LIST take care of distributing them to
everyone else. This just occurred to me because I'll be out of office next week
and was just thinking about turning on "Out of Office."

Subject: [SI-LIST] OOP problem, changing Reply-To header

Sorry to start a new thread about that crazy out of office messages. I think
there is a easy way to solve that. Each posting is sent to the list members
with a "From:" and "Reply To:" address of the original poster included. And
the OOP messages are sent directly to that "reply to"-address. Why not
changing the "Reply-To" header?

This is how I get a message posted by me from the list:
From: Matthias Weingart <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Reply-To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
To: "Si-List (E-mail)" <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

But it should be:
From: Matthias Weingart <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Reply-To: "Si-List (E-mail)" <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
To: "Si-List (E-mail)" <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

It is also more common to let the people post back to the list, rather than
replying to the original poster only.

        Matthias
