If temp rises output slows down and vice versa.  Heat is more of a =
problem for me because the slowing down of rise/fall times (with =
increasing heat) causes timing problems.  Also you have the problem of =
shortened device life span as a function of increased heat.  =
Inter-metallization (sp?) steps in quickly in DRAMs operatecd above =
85C-95C.

          What are the failure modes of MOSFETS? I understand that =
MOPFETS have negative temp: coefficient , so do we ever have thermal =
