Subject: [SI-LIST] Job Opportunity
Hello All,
I am posting this for a friend. He has helped me build two SI groups in
the=20
past. This is essentially an SI role. Please feel contact him with any=20
interest/inquiries.
- JHC
My client is seeking an experienced, self-reliant, innovative and highly
motivated physicist/electrical engineer to help design future generation
enterprise interconnect products having large spectral bandwidths with=20
minimal signal impairments. We are looking for individuals with=20
demonstrated skills and accomplishments that range from in-depth
theoretical=20
work in electromagnetics to the hands-on practicality of connector
design or=20
related field. This individual would create the next breakthrough for
our=20
industry leading, standard setting structured cabling system. The=20
successful candidate's main responsibility would be to explore
strategies=20
and develop concepts with the aim of achieving quantum leaps in the
ability=20
to compensate for near-end and far-end crosstalk, manage return loss and
minimize attenuation in telecommunication multi-pair connectors. He/she
will be responsible for the development of test procedures to verify=20
connector electrical performance. In addition he/she is expected to=20
interface with engineers of other disciplines and participate in=20
cross-functional new product development teams. He/she will play a key
role=20
in product development from market definition through production and=20
release. Expected to share expertise with colleagues and others, and
to be=20
a lead contributor individually and as a team member.
Qualifications:
PhD or MS in Physics or EE with strong theoretical knowledge and a
minimum=20
5yrs experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electromagnetic Transmission Lines.
- Electromagnetic interference and mitigation.
- Crosstalk compensation techniques.
- R.F. Design
In addition the candidate should have a working knowledge of the design
of=20
multi-layer printed circuit board artworks. He/she must be familiar
with s-=20
parameter measurement techniques using network analyzers. Working
knowledge=20
of circuit or electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. SPICE,
Micro-Stripes,=20
CST Microwave Studio, HFSS) would be a strong plus. Also, familiarity
with=20
existing TIA -568 structured cabling standards is desirable. Strong=20
interpersonal and communication skills are required. Should have
successful=20
record both as an individual contributor and as a strong team player.
